The FLORAL series is the result of an exercise in inventiveness.
In this work we see flowers and plants that we can recognize as such but do not exist in reality.
Ruben Herrera has studied the morphology, structure and form of flowers and reduced their multiplicity to generic types.
Types that in their turn again consist of petals, sepals, stamens, corolla and pistils

In this intuitive and associative process the elements of existing flowers are gathered again to form a new typology, a new constellation.
The new flower types obtain a new inherent logic that is not dictated by evolutionary necessity but by the inventiveness of the artist.
